Swastika Rakhi
Swastika has a lot of significance in Indian mythology. It symbolises
good luck, protection and has been considered auspicious for over five
thousand years in India. It brings Peace and Harmony. This sign is
associated with lord Ganesha, who had this symbol on his right hand.
Swastika Rakhi is an auspicious Rakhi that is popular during the
festival of Raksha Bandhan. It is carved aesthetically out of various
materials like steel, brass, gold, silver, copper etc. Normally the
symbol is carved with a colourful background decorated with pearls,
glass beads and semiprecious stones. Sometimes swastika is carved with
Omkara or Sri symbols thereby adding more spirituality and art to the
Rakhi. Due to its religious nature swastika Rakhi is more popular among
the elderly.
